I have had a deep love of animals since childhood and cannot imagine a life without pets. Mine have enriched my life in so many ways and I have always strived to make their lives as happy, healthy, safe and secure as possible. I have had cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, gerbils and hamsters.

I worked as a journalist for many years, but 12 years ago felt a strong pull to try and work full-time on behalf of animals. I became a professional  membership recruiter and fundraiser for two wildlife charities, which I found extremely satisfying. I have written a book about my love of animals, which is linked by clicking here.

I then considered setting up my own pet care business, but after discovering GB Pet Sitters and then meeting Paul and Cassie at Head Office and seeing their professionalism and enthusiasm and passion for animals, I instinctively knew I would like to be part of the company. I was thrilled when invited to set up Sutton and Wimbledon Pet Sitters

Looking after pets when their owners are not able to be around for them is extremely fulfilling.

To work with animals on behalf of animal-lovers - I can think of no occupation I would rather be doing!

When I have some spare time, I am also a qualified Reiki practitioner and Indian Head Massage therapist and enjoy giving treatments.

I have always loved animals having grown up with dogs and a cat who adopted us. I also managed to adopt two more cats while living in New Zealand. They gave me some of my fondest memories from my time there.

I spend time daily with the ducks and geese at a local lake, giving them healthy food to enjoy and also cleaning up their environment to help keep them safe. When I can, I like to go further afield so I can help as many waterfowl as possible! I find it very rewarding to spend time and connect with animals as equals.

Being able to take care of, and interacting with pets is one of the most fulfilling things I can imagine doing with my days.
